Shriners Are Such Clowns
“Shriners Hospitals for Children was founded in 1922 with the goal of providing expert medical care for children with no financial burden to the patients or their families.
Today that philanthropic effort supports the health care system’s 22 facilities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, treating children up to 18 years of age who have orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and more. Our advanced care is provided in a family-centered environment that is focused on maximizing a childs quality of life, regardless of the families’ ability to pay”.
How Peachtree NORML Helps
The Yaarab Shrine Circus, in Atlanta, is known as the World’s Largest Shrine Circus. 2017 marks the third year Peachtree NORML has received tickets to this event that we distributed to such organizations as Ronald McDonald House for parents/patients/patient’s siblings; Turner Chapel for youth ministry/ low-income children; Children’s Restoration Network for latch-key kids; Georgia Christian Foundation for at risk youth; The Humor Corporation in partnership with the Association for Applied Therapeutics; Humor and the Village Comedy Theatre for the underground comedy community to share with Disabled Persons within Cobb County; Citizens of Public Safety (CoPS) targeted Senior Citizens; and the Metro Atlanta Gang Alternative Project in partnership with the National HIRE Network & Legal Action Center targeting previous offenders and their families.
Additionally, through a partnership with the Citizens of Public Safety (CoPS) we were able to distribute tickets to the Chiefs of Police of several Metro Area Police Departments to use in their outreach programs.
In all, a grand total of 1,000 TICKETS were distributed to the community in 2017 through the efforts of Peachtree NORML.

Is there an organization near you that services disenfranchised Seniors, Children or Disabled Persons? You can contact them and find out if they would use Shrine Circus tickets.
